Hmm...I wouldn't say I have a favourite to read, but when I write my poetry is mostly Dark/Depressing/Suicidal in content. I've done one Happy poem, and one sort of Love poem, but it's not a happy love poem lol. So...yeah.

I said other because I write just about any kind of poetry, depending on the mood I am in. I also like reading almost any kind of poetry. Poetry is really just an extension of your emotions expressed onto paper. That's why my mood plays such an important role in what i read or write.

I chose other because I enjoy reading prose. Prose can include all of those listed above, but it might still be considered in the 'other' catergory. So. Yeah, all of them are wonderful to read. :D

Hmm, I put other because as long as a piece is new, not an overuse of cliches (which yes, I do at times even though its mostly in the love stuff) and that its unique. If it has a shocking ending that just makes it that much better. Basically I don't care what kind, as long as it makes me think I'm hooked. :D

i've always been a fan for sad poetry. besides the fact that that is mainly the type i write, i love how much emotion is normally put into poetry of this kind and i love to read it, especially when i can associate with it.

I'm a firm believer in the powers of imagination, I like to see that exorcised in poems, I prefer fantasy or mystic poems.

other:
satire, preferably rhythmic and sometimes rhyming. I like to use formal meters and formats to frame satiric put-downs and absurdities... I like to have fun with poetry; no gloomy paeans to pain and suffering ala Keats for me. Here is a poem about a lost love:
-Limping Love Limerick-
I sing fee, fie, fo, fum;
I kissed her on her bum.
But then my love farted;
and so I departed,
a strange taste to my gum.
Here's another little bardic cripple:
--Trees, with apolgies to Kilmer--
I think that I shall never see
a woman scraggly as a tree.
Women are made by you and me;
but only God could make a tree...

I wrote other although I lean towards positive poetry: humorous, religious, inspirational, nature or children's poetry, for example.
