Wow. I wrote this response to someone critiquing my poem over six years ago...fifteen-year-old me views poetry the exact way that I despise people viewing poetry.

Now is that because I had an immature idea of what poetry was, or is that a legitimate opinion that some still hold? The idea itself makes me cringe!

I see that you developed your flair for the dramatic early on:

you should see pictures/videos of him when he was five.... ;-)


perhaps you need good sentence structure because it fits better with your style.... perhaps others have a style that can forgo being so greatly grammatical. I do believe the latter is in the minority and the former an overwhelming majority.

as I remember, you used to write fairly structured pieces that weren't always consistent to the structure, so a response like the one you are replying to would make sense.
