Hi there. I just realized I've been here for a little while, and I have not yet introduced myself. Well, my name's Brittany. I'm often called birdy. But you guys can call me whatever.- brit, birdy, brittany, britters.. I don't mind.
I'm fourteen years old and have been writing for almost a couple years now. Let's see.. I'm an outdoorsy person, love the nature. I enjoy playing cards a lot, particulary texas hold'em, cribbage and 500 rumy. I'm a movie goer- I enjoy the comedies, horror and drama. I admit I'm a shy person on a first impression- but once you get to know me, you can ask me anything, and I'll answer it. I'm an open book filled with a lot of truth. I enjoy listening to music such as: Tom Petty, The Eagles, The Doors, Johnny Cash, Pat Benetar, ACDC, Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, CCR, The Beatles, Elton John, Billy Joel, Van Morrison, Pink Floyd.. and a hell lot more.
Um.. some things I'd like to accomplish: Join a poker's tournament, go scuba diving, go sky diving, ride an air balloon, fire a gun, ride a horse, go rock climbing, publish a poem or at least write a whole (even if cruddy) novel, become a police officer, then eventually become a detective or criminal profiler to solve crimes.
well- there's a whole lot more to me. But I wouldn't want to ramble on. But I think you get the picture from what I've wrote. :) So how are you guys?

Hi Birdy,
Welcome. I am sure you have tons of time to do all those outdoor things. I am more like a house cat, although I am not declawed. I love the indoors so perhaps I will have some vicarious thrills as you accomplish your goals.
Keep us posted.

Glad you finally decided to introduce yourself here after all this time!
I'm with Elise - I'd prefer to have my outdoor adventures vicariously.

oh and thanks Pamela. I would have added you to my earlier post, but I think we responded near the same time or something. Well, I figured after the long time here, mind as well share a bit about myself as well as learning among the other poets here at this site. ;)

Hey, dream big, girl! There's NO reason why you can't do a novel someday based on your adventures --- or a memoir.

Leah (cattieos) tried teaching me while we were on vacation but I couldn't stop drinking long enough to pay attention then we gave up and decided to call Rae (Simple_Inspirations) instead.

Welcome, Birdy!
I've always been afraid of seagulls. But only when they're flying overhead.

My mom got quite a bite from an ostrich. They're worth being afraid of.
