well here is the meaning of my name according to a website i look for.
PAUL m English, French, German, Romanian, Biblical
From the Roman family name Paulus, which meant "small" or "humble" (Latin). Saint Paul was an important leader of the early Christian church, his story told in Acts in the New Testament. He was originally named Saul, but changed his name after converting to Christianity. Most of the epistles in the New Testament were authored by him. This was also the name of six popes. Famous bearers of this name in the art world include Paul Cezanne and Paul Gauguin, both 19th-century impressionist painters from France.
and here is the meaning of Saul seen as that is the root of my name
SAUL m Biblical, Jewish
"asked for" or "prayed for" from the Hebrew name Sha'ul. This was the name of the first king of Israel who ruled just before King David, as told in the Old Testament. Also, Saul was the original name of Saint Paul before his conversion to Christianity.
well there is a little history on my name.

QUOTE(TwistedDreamer @ Jul 7 2002, 10:16 PM)
it isn't the name that makes the gal a goddess Sheena!

Awwwwww!!! Hehe, so sweet. Although, it is corny lol.
Hmm...right....Lilitha (my full name), ain't a name lol..well, it is, but there's no definitions for it lol...but, it comes from Lilith, and this is what I got:
LILITH f English, Near Eastern Mythology
"of the night" from Assyrian lilitu. This was the name of a demon in ancient Assyrian myths. In Jewish and Islamic tradition she was Adam's first wife, sent out of Eden and replaced by Eve because she would not submit to him. The offspring of Adam and Lilith were the evil spirits of the world. So...I've made evil spirits, haha. "of the night", is kinda accurate though lol....I prefer night to day. And a demon...woohoo! Lol.
And I looked up Lili too lol, which is what most people called me for ages, but now it's been shortened again to Lil, lol.
LILI f German
German pet form of ELIZABETH
So, I checked Elizabeth...
ELIZABETH f English, Biblical
"oath of God" from the Hebrew name Elisheba. In the Old Testament this is the name of the wife of Aaron. In the New Testament this is the mother of John the Baptist. Saint Elizabeth (12th century) was the daughter of King Andrew II of Hungary who became a Franciscan nun and lived in poverty. This was also the name of two ruling queens of England and an empress of Russia. A famous modern bearer is actress Elizabeth Taylor.
And that....doesn't really fit me at all, really lol. Oh wellz.
Middle names..
Dawn: DAWN f English
"dawn" from the English word
Tells me a lot, huh? lol
And my other one is Elizabeth, mentioned above lol. And, as I said...doesn't fit me at all, really. I like the royalty idea though....*grins* hehe.

haha, when I was little, I was like "woah, my name is in the dictionary" and I looked it up and it said "abbey-A place where monks and nuns live" or something like that, and I was a bit put out.
But, Abigail is from the Hebrew Abigayil meaning "father's joy" and it's the stupidest thing in the world because my dad is a big jerk, treats me like I'm stupid, and I was never happier when I moved out, and never more depressed when I had to move back home because of money issues. I'd rather live with monks and nuns *rolls eyes*
Miranda is my middle name and it's from Latin mirandus meaning "admirable; wonderful." boy, it just keeps getting better and better *another eye roll* it's also the name of one of the moons of Uranus. I'd rather live on Uranus.
Then my last name is McDonald and it's from Scottish MacDonald, duh, and it's just gotten changed through the years of living in the grand old USA. I'd rather live in Scotland. ;)

My name is VERY rediclous... but I like the way it sounds... hehe first off, my name is Amy Marie Yancey... my initials spell AMY. My parents did this on accident mind you, it wasn't until 1st Grade we discovered this. (Ok, we're slow >.<) My mom and her cousin had a bet, the first baby girl born to them would be Amy Lee. Amy Lee was born a week before me. >.< So when I came, my mom went with Marie because it sorta rythmed with Amy Lee. ANYWAYS... enough of that... hehe Heres what it means:
Name: Amy
Origin: French
Meaning: Beloved
Name: Marie
Origin: French
Meaning: Bitter or Bitterness
Name: Yancey
Origin: Native American
Meaning: Yankee
So basically... my name means Beloved Bitter Yankee... someone explain to me how bitterness can be loved? o.O I personally like Eimi Mari, which is Amy Marie in Japanses.

Katharine
Possibly from the Greek katharosmeaning Pure
or
From the Greek name Aikaterine. The etymology is debated: it could derive from the earlier Greek name Hekaterine, which came from hekateros "each of the two"; it could derive from the name of the goddess HECATE; it could be related to Greek aikia "torture"; or it could be from a Coptic name meaning "my consecration of your name". The Romans falsely derived it from Greek katharos "pure" and changed their spelling from Katerina to Katharina to reflect this. The name belonged to a 4th-century saint and martyr from Alexandria who was tortured on the famous Catherine wheel. This name was also borne by two empresses of Russia, including Catherine the Great, and by three of Henry VIII's wives
Odd Factoid: I was born on St. Catherine's day. The martyr spoken about WAS St Catherine, and my parents did not know about the date being "my saint's day" until I was about 4.
Moore
aka Muir. It means that my family is from a place in Lowland Scottland.
(only doing my Legal name, not my full name)
Francis
From the Late Latin name Franciscus which meant "Frenchman". Saint Francis of Assisi, the founder of the Franciscan order of friars, was the son of a wealthy merchant who renounced his father's wealth and devoted his life to the poor. Later in his life Francis apparently received the stigmata. Another saint of this name was Saint Francis Xavier, a missionary to eastern Asia. Two other famous bearers were philosopher and scientist Francis Bacon, and explorer and admiral Sir Francis Drake.

I go by Kat, which can get alot of jokes, but it was worse in third grade. We were doing individual study projects (I had chosen morse code) and one guy chose to do names. So, time came for us to present our findings to the class, and he announced to the class that I was "Pure." That stuck with me through High School >.<

KATHERINE f
Usage: English
Pronounced: KATH-u-rin, KATH-rin
From the Greek name Aikaterine. The etymology is debated: it could derive from the earlier Greek name Hekaterine, which came from hekateros "each of the two"; it could derive from the name of the goddess HECATE; it could be related to Greek aikia "torture"; or it could be from a Coptic name meaning "my consecration of your name". HECATE f
Usage: Greek Mythology (Latinized)
Pronounced: HEK-a-tee
Possibly derived from Greek hekas meaning "far off". In Greek mythology Hecate was a goddess associated with witchcraft, tombs, demons and the underworld.

Timothy- From the Greek name Τιμοθεος (Timotheos) meaning "honouring God", derived from τιμαω (timao) "to honour" and θεος (theos) "god". Saint Timothy was a companion of Paul on his missionary journeys and was the recipient of two of Paul's epistles that appear in the New Testament. According to tradition, he was martyred at Ephesus after protesting the worship of Artemis.
