Loving Athena
By Sarah Greenfield
September 3rd, 2002
Theme - Sad
Sunlight filters through the clouds,
Waking her,
She stretches out and yawns,
Slowly opening her eyes,
She turns to me, and smiles
A "Hello"
Whispered from her lips,
I ache at her beauty,
Porcelain skin and green eyes,
Vulnerability surrounds her,
I have watched her for hours,
Waited until dawn,
When she will leave me,
I want to be here
For every moment I have with her,
If only I could say
Exactly what she means to me,
To my the world,
Although I know she will still leave,
Nothing can keep her here,
She is like the wind,
On summer days,
Warm and restless,
Nothing holds her here,
Not even me.

This is a really beautiful piece. It describes exactly how you feel about this person, you want someone you cant have or are too scared to have.If only
"I could say
Exactly what she means to me"
That is obviously your holdback. Sometimes to stay in the dark about how u feel is for the best, but if this person means alot to u, then why hold back?
I really like this piece.
