Theme - Love

"I love you"
Means so much, saying so little.
It means I would give myself to you
If you'd only take me
It means your smile
makes my heart run laps around the world
It means the touch of your fingertips
and the sound of your breath
set my blood on fire
and that everything in my body
longs for you.
It means I would
Burn, bleed, and die for you.
Everything you do moves me.
Your eyes hold the secrets of the universe,
and I'm determined to discover them.
Your body is a mystery that I would love nothing more than to solve.
Your laugh and your tears make life.
Your blood is more precious than gold.
That's what "I love you" means.

I felt this was an excellent piece and worthy of being here.

well ok the poem is beautiful there is no denying that, it's raw emotion and i can only imagine it's your emotion, taken from life. i hate it when my friends ask me to reply to a poem that they have written from the heart lol



it starts off very beautiful the lines flow very well and it gives a great image of unsure love.



ooh i like this but i would change:

and the sound of your breath

to

and the feel of your breath

mainly to keep the imagry of touch there.




i like those two lines the most i think because they convey so much, with such shortness.



i didn't like these lines for the simple fact they screamed 'Brian Adams' at me, very reminisnce of a song.



this line i didn't like i felt it was maybe too long for the rest of the poem and could be broken down and made into two not one lines.

Your body is a mystery that I

the ending is so simple and so sweet it conveys the whole poem right there.
