I took World Lit this semester, and my favorite book the professor assigned was Death in Venice; has anyone else read it?

I read it far too many years ago to have much recall, but I remember it being an engaging story. Stark portrayal of the old man's obsession - even if he thinks it to be love - with the young boy.

I was the only one in the class who liked it; that was disappointing!

Yeah, I read it as part of a comp lit class and of the 40(!) of us in the class, few cared for it. At the time I was one who didn't like it, but care around to it about a year later - still a long time ago. :P
