Off My Mind
By Michael McLeod
May 18th, 2002
Theme - Fantasy
Upon the shadowed midnight moon,
The darkened sky brings all in full,
Tears of sadness takes my mind,
Sometimes feel like i've gone blind,
Upon the sacred shadowed moon,
stars of light show less soon,
the darkness pulls all light from this,
all i think is of that kiss,
i have nothing left to stand on,
just to fly like i'm a dragon,
when you wish that wish once more,
think of me like once before.
Dragons wings and mist of dark,
Zombie kings and lords of spark,
Flames grow high into the night,
wait for me to join the fight,
still the hero of the relm,
time to stand and remove my helm,
time to see what i have missed,
no time like the once been kissed.
Willows bend,
bows can break,
but still i find,
that willows wake,
not a crack,
a fissure seen,
only that of dragons wing.
((Dedicated to amy, the willow of my inspiration))

Heh heh heh
I did that just for fun.. I also put in the willow part in the poem because it helped it flowed, and i was thinking of how you are.. you bend, but never break. Like i said, you are my willow of inspiration.. ^_^

I'm adding this to the Dry Tear Book not because I helped inspire this poem but because I think this is the best work he's ever done. The words are beautiful, they flow with each other and it tells a perfect story. I almost start to cry every time I read it.

I'd agree with your choice on this, Amerz.
Mike, hun...this is fantastic! I love this poem. I like the imagery, and the language used....a great poem, and definitely worthy of being in the book. Congrats :)
