I'm finished, totaly finished. Any predictions for the next books? Haha I'm a sucker for theories.
Arrgg I can't believe who died. Since I knew someone was going to die in the book my mind went from:
dumbledore, hagrid, dumbledore, sirus, hagrid, sirus, Mr. Weasly, hagrid, dumbledore, hagrid, proffesor mcgonagal, sirus, hermione, snape, ron, harry, to hermione.. and I'm sure I'm missing people. Oh and who actually died (Tried not to spoil it).
I have a question what do you take of what Dumbledore said to harry near the end? My mind was spinning with possible outcomes.... oh so many things could happen.

Aaaaaaaaaargghhhhhh. TWO DAYS! I read 800 pages in TWO DAYS!
lol. My head hurts. Okay. I'll try to talk a bit now
**SPOLIERRRS*********
Questions/Comments I'm still musing after *just* finishing this book.
-Is Luna really looney? Is there more to Luna? Apperances can be decieving. Throughout the entire book, I was amazed and curious whether or not her dreamy apperance was a facade or not. Apparently she's very skilled in the D.A. teachings, as she displayed when accompying Harry & Co. to the Department of Mysteries.
-What's really behind the veil?
-Sirius: Alive or Dead? Nobody said that he died directly (unless I am mistaken)
-Neville showed his colors at the end of the book; he was rightly placed within the House of Gryffindor for his courage, as he so vehemently displayed, despite his injuries.
-Could a possible relationship develop between Harry and Luna? When Harry arrived at Hogwarts in September, Luna was the only one else (that he knew of at the time) who could see the thestrals, and the unfaltering support of Luna to whatever Harry does. It did say that Harry didn't feel uncomfortable talking about Sirius' "death" to her when they were at the bulletin board.
-What of Fred and George? Since their departure of Hogwarts their Jokeshop seems to have flourished, with their flashy dragon leather jackets. I'm wondering if Mrs. Weasly is angry with Harry for giving the Triwizard Winnings to Fred and George. She's always disapproved of their love for opening up a joke shop.
-Will the D.A. meetings continue, or will there be a competent Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher appointed? Or could there be more joinings from other people, wishing to learn in the future?
-Will the 3 Houses who are involved with the D.A. still have the tightly formed bond that the Sorting Hat sang at the beginning of the book, once the new year starts?
-What's to become of Kreacher?
-Lockhart: Will he regain his memory? The poor soul, lol.
..that's all for now, lol. I'm too tired from reading. Which is all I've been doing the past two days. Too many pages, lol.
You know. it might be many years before the 6th book comes out.. 3.. 5.. even 7 years for the next colorful Potter book comes out.
Oh-- and FYI, I always thought Neville was going to die at the end.. that darn Bella Lestrange.. But Neville came through! Good down to the core.. His parents would be proud. :crying:

Is Luna really looney? Is there more to Luna?
I loved Luna! I don't think she's looney at all. There's a lot more to Luna and I think we'll see that. She's a rather unique character but she sees things, like the voices behind the veil. I think she is almost a true seer. I can't wait to see where her character goes. I think she'll eventually lead Harry to Sirius.
QUOTE
What's really behind the veil?
I have no idea. I think perhaps it is a "soul trap" or something along those lines. It's a creepy thought.
QUOTE
Sirius: Alive or Dead?
I think he's existing in some parallel universe. Trapped somewhere behind the veil.
QUOTE
Neville showed his colors at the end of the book; he was rightly placed within the House of Gryffindor for his courage, as he so vehemently displayed, despite his injuries.
I was so happy for Neville in this book. It was sad with his parents but I think that he is finally becoming a developed character. Harry and his gang are finally starting to appreciate him.
QUOTE
Could a possible relationship develop between Harry and Luna?
I wondered that too....especially after the Cho disaster. I think it could but I wouldn't want to see it. Luna is so much younger acting than Harry.
QUOTE
Will the D.A. meetings continue, or will there be a competent Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher appointed? Or could there be more joinings from other people, wishing to learn in the future?
I can't wait to see who the next Defense teacher will be but I think they'll only last a year. I don't think they'll be evil again because there have been so many evil teachers. But every Defense teacher is crucial to the plot so I can't wait to see who it'll be. I think Dumbledore will be putting more emphasis on the Defense and so I think that D.A. will continue, but perhaps it'll be supervised and teacher run.
QUOTE
Will the 3 Houses who are involved with the D.A. still have the tightly formed bond that the Sorting Hat sang at the beginning of the book, once the new year starts?
I think that there will be continued bonding of those three. I feel bad for the kids stuck in Slytherin. Seems like they don't have a chance.
QUOTE
What's to become of Kreacher?
I don't know...ewwww......I'm thinking a mounted head plaque. I hated that character.
QUOTE
Lockhart: Will he regain his memory? The poor soul, lol.
I highly doubt it. But maybe....I hope someday Neville's parents get better. What would happen if his grandmother died?
Yeah, there it is. I'm so eager for the next book!

I love this book!!! It's the best! I finished it one day last week at like 4AM. My most surprising thing about this was Professor Umbridge. Her punishment for Harry making him write lines and having it come onto his skin like having it tatooed to the back of your brain or something. I really thought she might have been working for the Dark Lord. I was mad at who died. It just doesn't seem fair to Harry, ya know? he was getting so close to the person and then they have to die. ITS JUST NOT FAIR. :crying: But if that is the way JK Rowling wants to end then let her end it like that b.c the books are great! I agree with Nyssa(tops them all)

I loved it... and I hated it... Maybe I hated to love it and loved to hate it? I don't know... lol. It was an excellent book and I couldn't put it down but still, I found myself PLEADING Harry to calm down and think things through. But, I also found, to the oddest of looks from my family, that when the Order barged in on Harry, Neville and the Death Eaters, that I was screaming "ALL RIGHT!!!"
*Sniffles* I cried when Sirius left.... I loved him... I told a friend I wanted to marry him... If JK kills of Lupin too, I'm seriously going to go into a state of heightened depression. Percy should have died... *glare* Anyways, to answer Abbz....
I do think there's more to her and I think she'll become a more and more important character. But then again... she could be looney, look at what she wears! But as in thinking and what not, no, she's not crazy.
-What's really behind the veil?
I have no idea... but I hope its nothing seriously bad. Something that people can return from...
-Sirius: Alive or Dead? Nobody said that he died directly (unless I am mistaken)
Well, people such as Lupin and Dumbledore said he was gone... but I don't think anyone ACTUALLY said he was dead except Harry. I REALLY hope he's not dead... I hope he comes back... and towards the end of the book when Harry found the mirror...I... cried... like a little baby... so emoitonal... but it got me thinking... what would happen if Harry some how got a painting of Sirius? The paintings of long dead wizards and witches in Hogwarts and in the Wizarding comunity move around and talk... would this work for Harry and Sirius?
-Neville showed his colors at the end of the book; he was rightly placed within the House of Gryffindor for his courage, as he so vehemently displayed, despite his injuries.
Neville was freaking awesome. I want to see more of him in the books to come. Maybe even joining the trio of Harry, Ron and Hermione with Luna. I do feel sorry for the poor kid... I think he could help Harry handle his greif as much as Luna helped when she was pinning up her list of lost items.
Hmm... its a possibility... but I actually think Harry and Ginny would be a MUCH better match. Ginny had that crush on him, sure, then she moved onto Michael and Dean... but... maybe thats a sign that her and Harry WILL get together in the end. That and I really like Ginny... hehe she's awesome, one of my favorite Weasly's. (I don't count Percy a Weasly, he's a fucking retard)
Well, since they showed up on the platform with their parents to greet Ron and Ginny back from Hogwarts, I don't think Mrs. Weasly ripped into them too bad. And I hope their joke shop goes VERY far into the books. *sniffs* I love those two too...
-Will the D.A. meetings continue, or will there be a competent Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher appointed? Or could there be more joinings from other people, wishing to learn in the future?
Well, lets look at the past Defense Against Dark Arts Teachers... Quirrel - turned out to be bad. Lockheart - Turned out to be bad. Lupin - turned out to be fantastic (*dreamy sigh*) Moody - turned out bad due to the fact it was really an imposter. Umbridge - Really Bad. Its about time we had another good one! But, as it seems to be a theme in the books, perhaps we'll get a good one but something will happen to them and they will be forced to stop teaching, leave the next slot open for a bad one... or even... Severus Snape? in the event of a bad one, I do believe the DA will continue.
-Will the 3 Houses who are involved with the D.A. still have the tightly formed bond that the Sorting Hat sang at the beginning of the book, once the new year starts?
With the way Luna acted so well with the four Gryffindors, I believe yes, they will have that tight bond.. with the possibility of it becoming tighter. Who knows? By the last book, maybe even Slytherin will hold a part in that bond. ( They can't ALL be as nasty as Draco, Crabbe, Goyle and Pansy)
-What's to become of Kreacher?
I hope the bastards head is stappled to the wall....
-Lockhart: Will he regain his memory? The poor soul, lol.
I really hope not! I can't stand that man anymore then I can stand Umbrige and Percy! lol
Here's a few more to think about:
- What do you think about Tonks?
(I LOVED HER!!!! If there's ANY HP character that most resembles me, its her!)
- Will the next books be BEYOND 800 pages?
- What do you think Harry's true profession will ever be?
- Do you think Harry and Snape will ever have a semi ok relationship?
- What WAS it that the Death Eaters used on Ron to make him act... well... stoned?

Okay..
Since I've had nothing to do other than lie around in a drug induced happiness I've reread most of the Harry Potter books and looked over number five again.
One Question.
Do you think Fred and George became members of The Order when they left school? I'd bet so.
What do you think about Tonks?
She was fun. I think she and Remus had chemistry.....
I just wonder what the REAL Tonks looks like.
Will the next books be BEYOND 800 pages?
I'd think so. I hope so!!
- What do you think Harry's true profession will ever be?
I think he'll become an auoror
- Do you think Harry and Snape will ever have a semi ok relationship?
I doubt it. Maybe in the last book. I want to know what Snape did to make Dumbledore trust him...what do you think he did?
- What WAS it that the Death Eaters used on Ron to make him act... well... stoned?
No clue. What part are you talking about?

I was talking about the one part in the Department of Ministries when Luna, Genny, and Ron came out of the "Planet" room and he made a "Uranus" comment to Harry.

man i wish i could have been online when i actually finished the book i was so hyped on it but no one at home even reads HP so i was left to dream alone and know im so hyped on my new trilogy set (His dark Materials by phillip pullman, containing The Golden Compass, The Subtle Knife, and The Amber Spy glass)
Hey if anybody has read them please let me know im really still psyched about the outcome and stuff. Oh and pullman is alot like JK.
anyways back to Harry
I cried when sirius died too and then when harry kept trying to come up with ways to talk to him its so sad but im kinda hoping that in some way Sirius might come back i mean he did escape Azkhaban which is like a fate worse then death.
Dude, what's up with aunt petunia all of a sudden she's like miss-know-it-all on magic i was completely impressed.
And as for Luna I think she has a bit of a thing for Ron at least thats what I got but then again I could see Ron and Hermione gettin' together. I just have this feelin like Harry is going to be left all alone ya know.

I, too cried when Sirius died. No joke. I had tears streaming down my face. I sobbed. I was soo mad and I was literally about ready to write a letter to JK Rowling and tell her how much I hated her and that she had no right to kill off my favorite character. It still makes me sad to think about it now. I thought it was cheap. He should not have died.
All around, the book was the best written one. It WAS wondeful and was the best book but my favorite book is still the 3rd one. I don't think this one could be my favorite one and I don't think I will go through it again because of how horrible it made me feel.
I hope Sirius isn't dead though. About everything all of you asked, I think anything is possible in Harry's world. Nothing is out of the question. Part of me wonders if in the last book JK Rowling is just going to kill Harry off. It could happen.

I love the Philip Pullman triology...I'm done with the first two books and am waiting for my library to get The Amber Spyglass in (I'm first on the waiting list).
